Overview

Exacta Land Surveyors LLC is seeking a Field Crew Chief for Residential Land Surveying in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The role involves using various surveying equipment, including GPS and total stations, to determine property boundaries and elevations while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Use surveying equipment to assist with title surveys and elevation certificates
  • Perform data collection and maintain quality of data in the field
  • Execute simple calculations for surveys independently
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle, ensuring readiness for each workday
  • Download and upload survey data to proper files
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and team members
  • Perform all duties assigned by the Field Manager in a safe and professional manner

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of job-related experience in surveying
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and understand algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
  • Proficiency in operating total stations, data collectors, and GPS technology
  • Experience with job-related software and cloud-based solutions
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
