Overview

Exacta Land Surveyors is seeking a Field Crew Chief for Residential Land Surveying in Saint Augustine, Florida. This role involves using various surveying equipment to determine elevations and property boundaries, working in outdoor conditions year-round. Successful candidates will be self-managed and responsible, executing fieldwork independently while adhering to policies and maintaining equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Use surveying equipment like GPS and total stations to perform surveys
  • Navigate outdoor work conditions throughout the year
  • Lift and move equipment and materials, up to 70 pounds with assistance
  • Download and upload survey data accurately
  • Maintain quality of field data and perform necessary calculations
  • Ensure vehicle and equipment maintenance and proper supplies
  • Resolve customer issues professionally
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two years of experience in the surveying industry desired
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations involving weight, volume, and distance
  • Knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
  • Proficiency in using total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment
  • Competence with job-related software and cloud-based solutions
