Exacta Land Surveyors LLC is seeking a Field Crew Chief for Residential Land Surveying in Lakeland, Florida. This role involves utilizing various surveying equipment to determine elevations and property boundaries for title surveys, requiring outdoor work in various weather conditions. Ideal candidates will be self-managed and enjoy working independently while ensuring timely project completion.

Key responsibilities

  • Use surveying equipment including GPS, total stations, and data collectors
  • Determine elevations and property boundaries for surveys
  • Perform outdoor work year-round in varied weather
  • Maintain quality of data in the field
  • Download and upload survey data accurately
  • Cut and clear brush from survey lines
  • Perform equipment and vehicle maintenance
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
  • Establish effective working relationships with clients and team members

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of surveying industry experience
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
  • Knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
  • Proficiency in operating surveying instruments and software
