Overview

Exacta Land Surveyors LLC is seeking a Field Crew Chief for their residential boundary land surveying operations in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves using various surveying instruments to determine elevations and property boundaries, and the successful candidate will work in the field year-round under diverse weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Use surveying equipment to assist with elevation and property boundary determinations
  • Perform data downloads and uploads to computer networks or field data collectors
  • Mark points of measurement with appropriate identifiers
  • Cut and clear brush or trees from survey lines
  • Maintain quality of data collected in the field
  • Perform simple calculations needed for surveys
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and vehicle
  • Resolve customer issues in a professional manner
  • Establish effective working relationships with team members and clients

Required skills

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 2 years of experience in the surveying industry
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and understand geometry
  • Experience operating surveying instruments like total stations and GPS
  • Proficient with job-related software and e-technology
