Job Description

Overview

HEPCO Inc. is seeking Field Construction Engineers to support a major infrastructure project at Newark Airport. This hands-on role involves working closely with project leadership and field teams to ensure effective execution from planning through to project closeout.

Key responsibilities

  • Review project plans and assist in developing construction schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractors for procurement and pre-construction activities
  • Prepare work packages and support pre-construction meetings
  • Oversee daily field operations, including layout and quality control
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and subcontractor communication
  • Track project progress, schedules, and overall performance
  • Identify and address site risks, issues, and changing conditions
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support project closeout, documentation, and final deliverables

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3-4+ years of civil construction or field engineering experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA and federal safety regulations
  • Experience with project controls, estimating, and scheduling (CPM)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera P6
