Overview

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant to join their team in Los Banos, California. This role provides an opportunity for independent work with a focus on quality patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in occupational medicine. The position includes responsibilities such as evaluating patients, ensuring compliance with health standards, and promoting continuous improvement in patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat occupational medicine patients according to Agile's medical practice model
  • Complete all medical record documentation prior to the end of shift
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies
  • Cultivate relationships with center clients and payers
  • Promote center initiatives and workflows aligned with other centers
  • Work with medical leadership to manage clinical staffing and enhance patient satisfaction
  • Provide guidance to medical personnel in the absence of the Center Medical Director
  • Recommend growth opportunities for new or existing services within the Center
  • Master clinical systems to ensure efficiency and optimal coding
  • Respond to client requests within 24 hours

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
  • Unrestricted California PA/NP license or license in progress
  • Active DEA registration
  • Current BLS and AED certification
  • NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA and state laws
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Team player in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Working knowledge of medical office administration and procedures
  • Basic computer skills, including email
  • Preferred experience with electronic medical record application
