Overview

Palm Health Resources is seeking an experienced Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant to join an established Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Madison, Wisconsin. The role involves assisting in a variety of surgical procedures and providing patient care within a high-functioning team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the operating room for various cardiac and thoracic surgeries
  • Manage patient care on the Cardiothoracic Surgery in-patient unit
  • Provide night call for floor patients and the operating room
  • Perform rare outpatient clinic care
  • Participate in a call schedule with anticipated 1 in 6 weekends

Required skills

  • Surgical first assist experience
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Experience in robotic surgery and cardiac/thoracic procedures
