Overview

The Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant role at MPLT Healthcare involves providing comprehensive patient care in a surgical and clinical setting. The position requires managing patients' journeys from operation to discharge, with a focus on high acuity needs and specialized therapies such as mechanical circulatory device therapy.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow the patient's journey from the OR to discharge and clinic visits
  • Provide care requiring mechanical circulatory device therapy
  • Perform procedures such as CABG, valve surgeries, and emergent dissections
  • Act as a first and second assistant during surgical procedures
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH) and other vascular approaches
  • Provide care in ICU, stepdown units, and clinic settings
  • Manage patients with high acuity needs
  • Work in an ECMO center with daily ECMO management cases
  • Perform central line, arterial line placements, and chest tube placements

Required skills
