Job Description

Overview

RecruitWell is seeking a Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a permanent position in downtown Orlando, Florida. The role involves providing care to a diverse patient population, with a significant focus on the LGBTQ+ community. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible, licensed in Florida, and ideally bilingual in Spanish.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services to patients aged 13 and older
  • Perform procedures including pap smears, skin tag removal, throat cultures, and more
  • Coordinate care with nursing, referrals, and billing staff
  • Engage in a shared phone call rotation with other providers
  • Complete office visit notes within 72 hours
  • Work during a scheduled rotation of weekdays and Saturdays
  • Maintain cultural competence, especially regarding LGBTQ+ health concerns
  • Participate in managing HEDIS knowledge and coding
  • Collaborate with care teams that include medical assistants and referral coordinators

Required skills

  • Board certification or eligibility as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Licensure in Florida with a DEA in good standing
  • Experience in primary care and family medicine
  • Cultural competence in LGBTQ+ health and knowledge of health concerns
  • Ability to perform various medical procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably E Clinical Works
  • Knowledge of HEDIS and coding experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
