Overview

Amergis Locum Tenens is seeking a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for an outpatient clinic in Centreville, Maryland. The role focuses on preventative care, chronic disease management, and patient-centered wellness in a collaborative environment with a low patient volume.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform physical exams, health assessments, and screenings
  • Deliver preventative care and wellness services
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
  • Provide diabetes management
  • Conduct well-woman exams
  • Address minor behavioral health concerns
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
  • Educate patients on health conditions and preventative care
  • Collaborate with a care team of 2 providers and 3 MAs
  • Document care using Athena EMR

Required skills

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland
  • Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • Minimum 2 years of FNP experience
  • Recent primary care experience
  • Experience managing chronic conditions and diabetes
  • Ability to perform well-woman exams
  • Preferred: DOT certification
  • Experience with Athena EMR
