Job Description

Overview

Nextcare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their urgent care team in Broomfield, Colorado. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable managing a variety of acute presentations.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
  • Manage high-access workflow and see 3-4+ patients per hour depending on volume
  • Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair and incision & drainage
  • Interpret X-rays prior to radiologist over-read
  • Provide occupational medicine services as needed
  • Document care accurately in the EHR
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Follow up on patient care as indicated

Required skills

  • Active and unrestricted Colorado PA or NP license
  • NCCPA certification (PA) or ANCC/AANP certification (NP)
  • Active DEA (or eligibility)
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-paced outpatient settings (preferred)
  • Comfort with occupational medicine
  • Suturing and strong procedural skills (preferred)
  • X-ray interpretation experience (preferred)
