Overview

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Family Practice Physician (MD or DO) in Broomfield, Colorado, to provide direct patient care and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). This role emphasizes clinical expertise, mentorship, and adherence to healthcare compliance standards while delivering urgent care services.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with urgent care needs
  • Establish supervision agreements with Physician Assistants
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to APPs
  • Conduct structured chart reviews and provide quality assurance feedback
  • Serve as a clinical resource for APPs during operating hours
  • Ensure compliance with prescribing practices and regulations
  • Collaborate with Medical Leadership and Operations teams

Required skills

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Active, unrestricted Colorado medical license
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
  • Active DEA registration
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine
  • Experience supervising Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants preferred
