Overview

Deaconess Health System is seeking a Family Practice - Without OB Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients across all age groups in Red Bud, Illinois. The role involves diagnosing and managing various medical conditions, performing health screenings, and working collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care within a rural community.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide full-spectrum outpatient primary care for patients of all ages
  • Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform routine health screenings, preventive care, and immunizations
  • Conduct patient education and foster strong provider-patient relationships
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and specialists
  • Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory policies

Required skills

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Licensed for medical practice in Illinois
  • DEA certification
  • Strong commitment to rural healthcare
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
