Overview

Saint Agnes Medical Providers is seeking a Family Medicine Core Residency Faculty member for a full-time position in Fresno, California. The role involves direct clinical teaching and contributing to the education of Family Medicine residents and medical students while maintaining a continuity patient panel.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach in outpatient continuity clinic and urgent care, Monday to Friday
  • Maintain a personal panel of continuity patients
  • Supervise inpatient teaching rounds in the newborn nursery on a rotating basis
  • Participate in educational didactic half-days for residents
  • Provide remote supervision of residents for after-hours clinic calls
  • Participate in Clinical Competency Committee assessing resident progression
  • Engage in Program Evaluation Committee overseeing curriculum development
  • Complete evaluations of residents and medical students
  • Supervise residents on the mobile health unit
  • Engage in scholarly activities and quality improvement projects

Required skills

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Family Medicine residency program
  • Unrestricted medical license in California
  • Experience in comprehensive outpatient care for adults, geriatrics, children, and newborns
  • Clinical experience in inpatient management of adult and newborn patients
  • Current board certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
  • Eligibility for full-spectrum outpatient primary care privileges
  • Eligibility for inpatient privileges in newborn care
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
