The Maine Divorce Group is seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal to join their client-focused team in Brunswick, Maine. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining in-office and remote work flexibility, and involves supporting attorneys in various duties while providing exceptional client care.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage scheduling for court dates, mediations, client meetings, and case deadlines
  • Open and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and organization
  • Prepare, draft, and format family law documents
  • Manage discovery processes and maintain case summaries
  • File legal documents with courts and coordinate service of process
  • Communicate with clients professionally and handle sensitive situations
  • Track and record billable time accurately
  • Support attorneys in case preparation and legal strategy execution

Required skills

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a family law firm
  • Bachelor's degree and ABA-approved paralegal certificate
  • Expertise with Mac OS and Google Workspace
  • Legal research and writing skills
  • Integrity and discretion in handling confidential matters
  • Strong time-management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
