Overview

THOMAS AND THOMAS ATTORNEYS AT LAW, PA is seeking a Family Attorney to provide legal counsel and support in sensitive family law cases, including child custody, divorce, and domestic violence. The role involves working closely with both clients and administrative staff to ensure excellent legal services.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare contracts, briefs, motions, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research
  • Prepare for and attend legal proceedings
  • Divide marital assets
  • Provide legal counsel in conjunction with senior associates
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records
  • Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active member of the Florida Bar Association
  • Experience in family law
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues
