Overview

The University of Iowa is seeking a Faculty Dermatopathologist to establish a focused practice in a supportive academic setting. This role offers dedicated sign-out time, mentorship, teaching opportunities, and the flexibility to customize responsibilities in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Build a focused dermatopathology practice with dedicated sign-out time
  • Engage in teaching dermatology residents, pathology residents, and medical students
  • Sign out approximately 100 specimens on a typical full day
  • Advance academically or take on resident education leadership over time
  • Share light dermatology call at approximately 1:16 with residents taking first call
  • Collaborate closely with surgical pathology and multidisciplinary specialists
