Overview

The Facility & MHE Supervisor at Sysco is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and appearance of the facility, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role includes managing staff, budgets, and vendor relationships while coordinating emergency responses and maintenance schedules.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise daily work and safety of facility maintenance associates
  • Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget
  • Prepare work schedules and coordinate emergency response activities
  • Oversee selection and inventory of company assets for facility operations
  • Maintain communication with third-party vendors for effective operations
  • Establish preventative maintenance schedules for various systems and equipment
  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with required inspections and documentation
  • Facilitate open communication and monitor associate morale
  • Train staff on company policies and safety procedures
  • Perform staff management functions including selection and performance reviews

Required skills

  • 5 years of maintenance experience or equivalent education
  • Valid state Driver's License
  • Level 1 Ammonia Operation Certification (or obtain within 60 days)
  • HAZWOPER 24-hour Training (or obtain within 60 days)
  • Certificate in refrigeration required
  • Proficient in maintenance tracking software
  • Working knowledge of ammonia and Freon systems
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and standards
  • Ability to read and interpret business and technical documents
  • Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software
