Overview

The Facility & MHE Supervisor at Sysco oversees the operations related to the maintenance, repair, and safety of the facility in New Braunfels, Texas. This role involves managing a maintenance team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating with third-party vendors to maintain operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise daily work and safety of associates in maintenance and security.
  • Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
  • Prepare work schedules, including extra shifts as needed.
  • Coordinate emergency response and crisis management activities.
  • Supervise the selection and purchase of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Develop relationships with third-party vendors for efficient operations.
  • Establish preventative maintenance schedules for all systems and equipment.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with inspections and documentation.
  • Facilitate communication and engagement among associates.
  • Coordinate training and safety inspections with the Safety department.
  • Perform management functions including staff selection and performance reviews.

Required skills

  • 5 years of maintenance experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid state driver's license and proof of liability coverage.
  • Level 1 Ammonia Operation Certification (to be obtained within 60 days).
  • HAZWOPER 24-hour training (to be obtained within 60 days).
  • Certificates in refrigeration.
  • Ability to use maintenance tracking software.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and governing bodies.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software.
