Overview

The Facility & MHE Supervisor at Sysco is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overall appearance of the facility in New Braunfels, Texas. This role includes expense management, safety and security compliance, and management of facility maintenance staff and third-party vendors to ensure efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of building maintenance and safety for associates.
  • Manage labor hours and budget for consumable supplies.
  • Prepare work schedules and coordinate emergency response activities.
  • Supervise selection and inventory of company assets.
  • Maintain business relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Establish preventative maintenance schedules for systems and equipment.
  • Conduct audits ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Facilitate open communication with associates and handle team morale.
  • Train staff and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Perform staff management functions including selection and performance reviews.

Required skills

  • 5 years of maintenance experience or equivalent education.
  • Valid state Driver's License and proof of liability coverage.
  • Level 1 Ammonia Operation Certification (obtain within 60 days).
  • HAZWOPER 24 hrs Training (obtain within 60 days).
  • Knowledge of ammonia and Freon systems.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
