Job Description

Overview

The Facility Manager at Ace Hardware Corporation is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and housekeeping functions within a Retail Support Center (RSC). This role involves strategic direction, budget management, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while fostering a culture of teamwork aligned with company values.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction to the facilities management team.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for building operations and capital improvement projects.
  • Plan and execute scheduled and preventive maintenance for facility systems.
  • Manage upkeep of the building, including waste disposal and pest control.
  • Negotiate services with multiple vendors.
  • Lead facility-related projects to meet evolving business demands.
  • Promote a safe and productive workplace.

Required skills

  • 5-10 years of experience in facilities or distribution management.
  • Leadership experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
  • Technical knowledge of building systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with facility management software and CMMS.
  • Knowledge of SAP for budget planning.
  • Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional shifts as required.
