Overview

The Facility Manager at Ace Hardware Corporation plays a crucial role in overseeing maintenance and housekeeping functions within the Retail Support Center (RSC). The manager is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment while managing budgets and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction to the facilities management team.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for building operations.
  • Conduct failure analysis and perform necessary repairs on equipment.
  • Plan and execute scheduled and preventive maintenance for facility systems.
  • Manage waste disposal and janitorial tasks.
  • Negotiate critical services with multiple vendors.
  • Promote a safe and productive workplace.

Required skills

  • 5-10 years of experience in facilities or distribution management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
  • Proficient understanding of building systems and maintenance codes.
  • Familiarity with facility management software and SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred.
