Job Description

Overview

The Facility Manager at Ace Hardware Corporation is responsible for the strategic oversight of maintenance and housekeeping functions within a high-volume Retail Support Center. This role ensures that operations align with company standards while overseeing budget management, safety compliance, and facility performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support the facilities management team and technicians.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for building operations and capital improvements.
  • Plan and execute scheduled and preventive maintenance for facility systems.
  • Manage upkeep of the building, waste disposal, and pest control.
  • Coordinate facility-related projects to meet business demands.
  • Negotiate services with multiple vendors.
  • Promote a safe workplace and participate in safety culture initiatives.

Required skills

  • 5-10 years of experience in facilities or distribution management
  • 5-10 years of leadership experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
  • Proficient understanding of building systems, codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with facility management software, CMMS, and SAP
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional shifts as required
