Overview

The Facility Manager at Ace Hardware Corporation in Plain City, Ohio, is responsible for overseeing maintenance and housekeeping functions within a Retail Support Center. This role focuses on ensuring a safe and efficient environment while managing budgets, compliance, and continuous improvement of facility operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support the facilities management team.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for operations and capital projects.
  • Maintain equipment records and perform failure analysis.
  • Plan and execute scheduled and preventive maintenance for facility systems.
  • Manage waste disposal and all aspects of pest control and housekeeping.
  • Coordinate facility-related projects to meet business demands.
  • Negotiate services with multiple vendors.
  • Promote a safe and productive workplace culture.

Required skills

  • 5-10 years of experience in facilities or distribution management.
  • Direct supervisory experience over facilities teams in a distribution environment.
  • Proficient understanding of building systems, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with facility management software and CMMS.
  • Experience with budget planning and management in SAP.
  • Certifications preferred: Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional shifts.
