Job Description

Overview

The Facility Manager at Ace Hardware Corporation is responsible for overseeing maintenance and housekeeping functions within a Retail Support Center (RSC). This role entails strategic management of facility operations, compliance with regulatory standards, and budget administration to ensure a safe and efficient environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support the facilities management team and technicians
  • Manage annual budgets for building operations and capital improvement projects
  • Plan and execute scheduled and preventive maintenance for facility systems
  • Oversee upkeep of the building, including waste disposal and janitorial tasks
  • Plan and coordinate facility-related projects to meet business demands
  • Negotiate services with multiple vendors

Required skills

  • 5-10 years of experience in facilities or distribution management
  • 5-10 years of demonstrated leadership experience
  • Proficient understanding of building systems and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with facility management software, CMMS, and SAP
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred
