Overview

Comhar Inc. is looking for a reliable and skilled Facilities Technician to maintain the safety and functionality of their facilities in Philadelphia. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections while operating a company-provided vehicle and tools to ensure a well-maintained environment for staff, clients, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential homes and office buildings including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.
  • Diagnose issues and determine the best course of action to resolve them efficiently.
  • Manage work requests via Maintenance Connection on a tablet and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Participate in a rotating 24-hour on-call service for emergency maintenance requests.
  • Maintain a company-provided vehicle and ensure tools are clean, stocked, and in good working condition.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and communicate effectively with team members.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • 1-3 years of maintenance experience including basic plumbing, electrical work, drywall, painting, and carpentry
  • Technical school or trade certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
  • Ability to operate program vehicles
  • On-call cell phone coverage
