Job Description

Overview

Sound Generations is a non-profit organization focused on serving older adults and people with disabilities in King County. They are seeking a Temporary Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and repairs for their facilities, including the Lillian Rice building and Belltown apartments.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks including electrical and plumbing work.
  • Administer janitorial, landscaping, and maintenance contracts.
  • Maintain vendor relationships.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.
  • Ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations.
  • Oversee access control and key management services.
  • Communicate about service interruptions and planned shutdowns.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned employees.
  • Gather and analyze data, and create reports.
  • Participate in mandatory activities, meetings, and trainings.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in general repairs including plumbing and electrical work
  • Knowledge of facilities management
