Job Description

Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician at Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is responsible for performing mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance in a factory environment. This role requires troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, sourcing parts, and providing leadership to small teams while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance
  • Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items
  • Independently perform maintenance as per industry standards
  • Set up and operate multiple machining operations
  • Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards
  • Drive and participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Update records and review CMMS history
  • Troubleshoot and analyze control systems
  • Utilize predictive maintenance technologies
  • Provide assistance and leadership to lower level technicians
  • Complete on-the-job and technical self-study programs
  • Follow safety-related policies and regulations

Required skills

  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Associates degree with a Technical focus or related experience
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems
  • Ability to analyze problems and perform repairs
  • Experience using basic hand tools and specialized tools
  • Ability to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
