Overview

The Facilities & Building Lead at the Worcester Center for Performing Arts is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of various facilities, including the theatre and conservatory. This hands-on role involves managing vendors, performing minor repairs, and supporting events to ensure all spaces are safe and well-maintained.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate daily building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance across all facilities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for cleaning vendors and monitor service quality.
  • Support oversight of cleaning schedules, supplies, and equipment.
  • Complete hands-on repairs, troubleshooting, and minor construction.
  • Coordinate setup and breakdown for performances, rehearsals, and events.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, contract support, and inventory tracking.
  • Respond to building issues and maintenance requests promptly.
  • Maintain organization of facilities, workspaces, and tools.
  • Support seasonal building needs such as snow removal and flooding response.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and internal departments on facilities operations.
