Overview

Anderson Dahlen is looking for a Fabricator to support the forming and fabrication of sheet metal components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. This role encompasses various tasks depending on the experience level, ranging from basic layout to more complex fabrication work across different parts.

Key responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings and sketches to determine operational requirements for sheet metal fabrication.
  • Perform layout, forming, rolling, shearing, drilling, and related operations based on experience.
  • Operate machinery such as press brakes, shears, band saws, drills, and overhead cranes safely.
  • Utilize shop math for measurements and calculations to support fabrication operations.
  • Select proper dies, tooling, and machine settings for accurate completion of work.
  • Inspect parts for conformance to specifications using measuring tools like calipers and squares.
  • Support or perform rolling operations for varied forms including straight walls and cones.
  • Communicate issues with materials and operating conditions to supervisors.
  • Recommend methods to improve efficiency and support Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and comply with safety and quality policies.

Required skills

  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication and layout.
  • Proficiency in operating industrial machining tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and quality control practices.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic and trigonometry for machining tasks.
