A lot has changed over the decades, but our commitment to our clients has never wavered. L.E. Smith is looking for a 1ST Shift Fabricator 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday. A Fabricator plays a vital role in the success of our business; you will work with a team to fabricate countertops using various hand tools, such as routers, sanders, pneumatic staple guns, and hand files. Responsibilities:Operating sanders, miter saws, table saw, and routersCutting and assembling countertops to specified sizesCutting and applying build-upBanding countertopsFabrication of applied edge topsInstallation of sinks into countertopsGluing and laying laminateCutting and finishing backsplashes.Applying adhesive and silicone for solid surface topsFiling/sanding and cleaning tops for final quality checkBasic CNC Machine operationCleaning and maintaining work areasThis job description may not include all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and it may be amended at any time at the employer's sole discretion.Requirements of the Role:Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.The ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 9 hours.Must have good vision, color vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity skills.Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, reach, and push.Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform mathematical calculations.
