Overview

Metalcraft Mining Equipment is seeking an experienced Welding Fabricator with strong proficiency in 2G, 3G, and 4G welding techniques. The role is based in Summersville, West Virginia, and requires at least 5 years of welding and fabrication experience, along with a commitment to safety and quality in the mining industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components per blueprints and technical drawings
  • Ensure all welds meet quality standards and structural requirements
  • Operate a variety of tools and fabrication equipment including grinders, plasma cutters, and saws
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following company and OSHA safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow fabricators to meet project timelines

Required skills

  • Minimum 5 years of welding and fabrication experience
  • Demonstrated ability in 2G, 3G, and 4G welding positions
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and welding symbols
  • Experience working with carbon steel and other structural metals
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • AWS Certification(s) preferred
  • Forklift and overhead crane operation certification preferred
