Job Description

Overview

Boeing is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Mechanical Subsystems Engineer to join the F-22 Raptor Program in Berkeley, MO. In this role, the engineer will focus on life support systems and work closely with the United States Air Force and industry partners to support the development and maintenance of mechanical and fluid systems that ensure fleet readiness.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and field support of mechanical and fluid systems for the F-22 fighter
  • Develop interface definitions and system/subsystem requirements in an integrated team environment
  • Perform detail design development, including CAD model integration for subsystem components
  • Support the maintenance and modification of platform system designs and documentation
  • Investigate and troubleshoot anomalies in fielded hardware and software
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical disciplines to support Program execution
  • Monitor supplier performance for system integration and compliance
  • Prepare technical documents for presentations and customer reviews/proposals

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Material Sciences)
  • 3+ years' experience working with aerospace vehicles and components
  • Experience with CATIA V5 or other CAD software
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, material processes, schematics and diagrams
  • Experience with life support systems
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
