Overview

Intuit is seeking dedicated Tax Experts to work seasonally at TurboTax locations in the United States. This role emphasizes combining tax expertise with community engagement to assist customers in navigating their tax needs while fostering long-term relationships within the community. The Tax Expert will provide comprehensive tax services and advice, building customer loyalty and trust.

Key responsibilities

  • Represent TurboTax as a community ambassador, engaging with new prospects and nurturing leads.
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and preparation services for various tax situations.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to uncover deductions and provide future tax planning advice.
  • Create exceptional customer experiences through professionalism and genuine interest in clients' financial goals.
  • Address client inquiries and help overcome tax-related challenges.
  • Build and maintain a local and online social presence as a TurboTax associate.

Required skills

  • Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney
  • Strong tax preparation experience and knowledge of tax laws
  • Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual tax returns
  • Familiarity with Circular 230
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Proficiency with technology, including tax preparation and CRM/sales software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in holistic tax advisory services
