This is your chance to make a significant impact by contributing to a wide range of current and evolutionary aircraft and weapons systems across various divisions/business units, including:Air Dominance (Phantom Works, F-15, F/A-18, MQ-25A, T-7A)Mobility, Surveillance, & Bombers (777X)Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (Harpoon, JDAM, SDB, SLAM-ER)Boeing Global Services businessesPosition Responsibilities:Complete Durability and Damage Tolerance Analysis for structural locations using common fatigue tools and software.Provide technical solutions for aircraft production lines with high priority nonconformance stress and fatigue analysis.Perform single flight probability of failure risk analysis and generate risk reports for customers.Utilize 3D modeling and data visualization software to update airframe 3D models and complete data processing on fleet maintenance findings.Perform full scale fatigue test finding match analysis using common fatigue tools and software.Works under general supervision.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience2+ years of work-related experience performing structural fatigue and fracture analysisExperience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysisAbility to develop technical reports and present resultsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active Secret ClearanceKnowledge and experience with fixed wing military aircraft platformsKnowledge of Aircraft Structural Integrity Program and it's requirementsExperience with structural analysis software such as PATRAN/NASTRAN, StressCheck and LifeworksAbility to understand and write engineering reports based on analysis results, test findings and maintenance reportsExperience with Spectrum GenerationExperience with Full-Scale Fatigue Testing and/or other structural and material testing plansStrong oral and written communications skillsSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
