Overview

The Experienced Robotic Welder Programmer will join an innovative manufacturing team in Ferndale, Michigan, focusing on programming and optimizing robotic welding systems, particularly using FANUC, Miller, or Lincoln systems. This role emphasizes enhancing production efficiency through advanced robot programming, mechanical troubleshooting, and process improvement, within a fast-paced, lean manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and implement robot programs for welding using specific software.
  • Adjust welding parameters to maximize weld quality and cycle times.
  • Coordinate engineering collaboration for system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Create setup sheets, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Inspect finished parts for adherence to specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on robotic cells.
  • Diagnose and resolve minor robot and weld quality issues.
  • Touch up welds as needed using MIG welding skills.
  • Strictly follow safety protocols.
