Overview

Malloy/Bell is seeking an experienced paralegal to join their busy transactional law practice in Auburn, Maine. The position requires a proactive individual who can assist attorneys in completing legal matters efficiently and effectively while maintaining high-quality document management across various legal sectors including business, real estate, and estate planning.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize files for attorney review and client meetings
  • Draft and assemble legal documents from templates and attorney instructions
  • Help prepare for real estate and business transaction closings
  • Update and maintain company record books and handle post-closing follow-up
  • Witness estate planning document execution
  • Submit approved probate filings to the Maine probate online portal
  • Assist in organizing estate tax returns
  • Track the status of deliverables and ensure follow-up on transactions
  • Communicate with personal representatives and estate beneficiaries
  • Gather required information for real estate closings

Required skills
