Overview

Malloy/Bell is seeking an experienced paralegal to join their busy transactional law practice in Auburn, Maine. The ideal candidate will support attorneys by managing files, documents, and workflows to improve efficiency and allow legal professionals to focus on high-value work. This role involves working closely with clients on various legal matters including real estate, estate planning, and mergers/acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize files for attorney review and client meetings
  • Draft and assemble legal documents from templates and attorney instructions
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for real estate, commercial loan, and business closings
  • Update and maintain company record books and post-closing follow-up
  • Submit probate filings to the Maine probate online filing portal
  • Track complex transactions and ensure deliverables are organized
  • Communicate with personal representatives and estate beneficiaries
  • Gather information for real estate closings and confirm zoning compliance

Required skills
