Overview

Malloy/Bell is seeking an experienced paralegal to join their busy transactional law practice in Auburn, Maine. The ideal candidate will support attorneys by managing documentation and workflows efficiently while assisting across various legal areas including real estate, estate planning, and probate. This role emphasizes collaboration and improving office processes to enhance productivity.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize files for attorney review and client meetings
  • Draft and assemble documents from templates and attorney instructions
  • Assist attorneys in real estate, commercial loan, and business purchase/sale closings
  • Update and maintain company record books
  • Witness estate planning document executions
  • Submit approved probate filings to the Maine probate online portal
  • Organize estate tax returns
  • Track transactions to ensure timely deliverables
  • Communicate with personal representatives and estate beneficiaries
  • Gather information needed for real estate closings

Required skills
