Overview

OhioHealth is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time position in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves providing nursing care to patients in diverse, acute healthcare settings and includes on-call responsibilities. Candidates must have at least one year of recent RN experience in an acute hospital environment and possess a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments
  • Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses
  • Evaluate and document responses to nursing interventions
  • Revise plans of care based on evaluative data as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in process improvement activities
  • Delegate nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
  • BLS certification
  • Recent experience working as a staff nurse in an intraoperative setting
  • BSN required at 5 years of employment
  • Knowledge of nursing care standards and department policies
