Overview

Intelligent Network & Communication Systems is seeking an experienced MSP Tier 2 Technician to join their team in Grand Blanc, Michigan. This role focuses on providing technical support and project management for various IT-related tasks, emphasizing the importance of customer service and technological problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

  • Own escalated tickets from Tier 1, handling complex technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot network issues end-to-end including DNS, DHCP, NAT, and firewall rules.
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Microsoft 365 tenants.
  • Support Windows Server environments and ensure virtualization hosts are performing well.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery processes.
  • Roll out new clients and projects, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Coach and mentor Tier 1 team members to enhance their skills.
  • Collaborate with sales to scope projects and estimate resources needed.
  • Document processes and automate repetitive tasks.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in IT or relevant degree with hands-on experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with VLANs, routing, firewall support, and VPN connectivity.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting server hardware and Windows Server environments.
  • 4+ years of data backup and recovery experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Deep understanding of network domains and Active Directory.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting DNS, DHCP, NAT, and firewall configurations.
