Overview

Sail is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who is a precision-driven professional capable of diagnosing complex mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues. This senior-level role will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and safety while leading the maintenance operations at assigned properties.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building control systems
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs
  • Perform repairs and adjustments across various systems including appliances and carpentry
  • Coordinate and oversee vendor performance
  • Guide and mentor junior technicians on technical best practices
  • Respond to on-call emergencies as part of a scheduled rotation
  • Maintain property grounds including snow removal and seasonal landscaping

Required skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on multifamily or commercial maintenance experience
  • Technical depth in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical diagnosis and repair
  • EPA Section 608 certification
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Boiler license, HVAC license, or trade certifications a plus
