Overview

Martino Law Group, LLC is seeking an Experienced Family Law Paralegal to join their team in Melrose, Massachusetts. This role involves independently managing a busy caseload with responsibilities in discovery, court filings, financial statements, and client communications for various family law matters.

Key responsibilities

  • Draft and respond to Complaints and discovery requests
  • Prepare Financial Statements with supporting schedules
  • Draft, file, and serve pleadings and motions in the MA Probate & Family Court
  • Manage trial preparation, including witness prep and exhibit lists
  • Handle client intake follow-ups, status updates, and scheduling
  • Maintain matter files in Clio Manage and manage deadlines
  • Coordinate with opposing counsel, court clerks, and mediators
  • Identify and flag issues for the attorney proactively

Required skills

  • 5-8 years of family law paralegal experience
  • Proficiency in Clio Manage and e-filing in MA Probate & Family Court
  • Strong understanding of MA Domestic Relations Procedure and Child Support Guidelines
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Experience with AI tools like Claude, Chat GPT, and others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage 40+ active matters
  • Fluency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, OneDrive/SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Notary commission is a plus or willingness to obtain
