Overview

H&K Group, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Excavator Operator for their Birdsboro Quarry. Ideal candidates should be energetic and motivated with a focus on safety, and while experience with a CAT 374 excavator is preferred, it's not mandatory. This is a full-time position, with opportunities for training and professional development.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections of equipment
  • Operate heavy equipment including excavators and front-end loaders
  • Provide excellent customer service to onsite customers
  • Maintain haul roads and stockpiles
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Assist with labor work around the quarry as needed

Required skills

  • One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school or six months of related experience
  • Ability to pass practical skills test for excavators and loaders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand detailed instructions
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Physical capability to meet job requirements
  • Experience with heavy civil construction preferred
  • OSHA or relevant safety certifications preferred
