Overview

As an Experienced Cake Decorator at Giant Eagle, you will play a vital role in creating visually appealing and delicious pastries for customers. You'll provide exceptional guest service while working as part of a team dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and fostering a passion for food.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and decorate cakes and bakery products to ensure freshness
  • Fill tables and cases with cakes and merchandise products
  • Take special orders from guests both over the phone and in person
  • Maintain quality control by checking the condition of products on display
  • Provide exemplary customer service and assist customers in locating products
  • Handle products and equipment according to food safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas to meet sanitation standards
  • Record special orders accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Stay updated with new products and procedures in the bakery
  • Assist in maintaining backroom, cooler, and freezer efficiency
  • Operate department equipment safely and correctly
  • Support team members and inspire a passion for food
