Overview

Reeves Lavallee, P.C. is expanding its team and seeks an experienced attorney who is confident in litigation and courtroom presence. The role involves managing a full caseload of family law and civil litigation matters, emphasizing autonomy and effective case strategy within a structured environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Independently manage a full caseload of family law and civil litigation matters
  • Appear in Probate & Family Court and District or Superior Court as required
  • Draft and argue motions, evidentiary hearings, and trials
  • Handle divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and related legal matters
  • Conduct discovery, take depositions, and negotiate settlements
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, agreements, and judgments with precision and efficiency
  • Advise clients strategically and develop effective litigation plans
  • Coordinate with paralegals and support staff to maintain organized case progression

Required skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Family Law and/or Civil Litigation
  • Proven courtroom presence and strong litigation capability
  • Strong negotiation and case strategy skills
  • Ability to independently manage a full caseload
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities
  • Experience handling high-conflict matters
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the Massachusetts Bar
  • Experience with real estate issues in divorce matters preferred
