Overview

Align Aerospace LLC is seeking an Experienced Aerospace Quality Specialist in Chatsworth, California. This role focuses on quality assurance within the aerospace sector and emphasizes hands-on inspection and problem-solving in a busy warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail and a strong desire for professional growth through training and development.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced First Article Inspections (FAIs) using precision measurement tools
  • Analyze engineering drawings and customer specifications using GD&T
  • Investigate and resolve supplier and customer non-conformances
  • Log NCRs and inspection results into SAP and Excel
  • Lead or support internal and external audits
  • Collaborate with various departments including Production and Sales
  • Mentor junior inspectors to elevate team standards

Required skills

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on inspection experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
  • Familiarity with inspection software and SAP/ERP systems
  • Expertise in using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
  • Deep knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and ISO 9001 standards
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading FAIs and making decisive quality judgments
