Overview

The University of Mount Olive is seeking a full-time faculty member for the Exercise Science program within the School of Arts & Sciences. This position involves teaching, advising, and supervising students in Exercise Science and related disciplines on campus in Mount Olive, North Carolina.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach lecture and laboratory courses in Exercise Science, Health, Physiology, Kinesiology, and Biomechanics
  • Advise and supervise majors enrolled in the Exercise Science program
  • Supervise practicums and internships
  • Utilize a Learning Management System to deliver course content
  • Possibly teach additional courses in related fields based on qualifications

Required skills

  • Master's degree in Exercise Science or closely related field
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Preferred: Doctorate in Exercise Science or related field
  • Preferred: Previous college-level teaching experience, particularly in CAAHEP-accredited programs
