Overview

The Executive Director, US Medical Affairs, Oncology for Solid Tumors at Jazz Pharmaceuticals will lead the Medical Affairs team focused on lung and gastrointestinal cancers. This role involves strategic planning, management of the solid tumor portfolio, and extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams to support product launches and lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of medical strategy for solid tumor indications, particularly lung and GI cancers.
  • Manage a team focused on medical affairs, including budget and personnel decisions.
  • Collaborate with commercial counterparts to ensure alignment on brand strategies.
  • Partner with Global Medical and Scientific Affairs for evidence generation needs.
  • Oversee the publication plan and identify new opportunities for the oncology care community.

Required skills

  • 12+ years of medical affairs experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in US market oncology product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience in navigating complex matrix environments.
