SummaryThe Executive Director, Manufacturer Contracting & Trade Relations is responsible for SPS Health's pharmaceutical manufacturer contracting strategy and commercial trade operations.This role serves as the primary owner of direct manufacturer agreements and is accountable for the full contract lifecycle including opportunity identification, contracting strategy, NDA/CDA coordination, pricing and rebate structures, agreement negotiations, legal review, execution, renewal management, and ongoing commercial relationship management.The position partners closely with Clinical Strategy leadership to leverage LTC market expertise and ensure commercial agreements are aligned with SPS Health's strategic objectives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Manufacturer ContractingDesign and execute SPS Health's pharmaceutical manufacturer contracting strategy across long-term care, specialty pharmacy, and future pharmacy business lines.Develop, negotiate, and execute direct contracts between SPS Health and pharmaceutical manufacturers, including rebate, data-sharing, market access, and GPO/PSAO-related agreements.Structure rebates, discounts, pricing programs, administrative fees, and contract terms.Manage the full range of manufacturer agreement types, including NDAs, CDAs, MSAs, data services agreements, fair market value documentation, administrative fee arrangements, amendments, renewals, and related contract terms.Lead legal review and contract redline processes. Commercial StrategyIdentify opportunities to expand direct manufacturer relationships beyond existing group purchasing organization arrangements.Maintain a manufacturer contracting pipeline, opportunity tracker, and related documentation to support prioritization, visibility, and follow-through.Monitor industry trends, manufacturer strategies, and market developments that may impact SPS Health's business opportunities.Evaluate market access and commercial partnership opportunities, and identify new strategic partnership opportunities that advance SPS Health's position within the pharmaceutical ecosystem.Represent SPS Health at industry conferences, manufacturer meetings, and key trade events.Evaluate emerging opportunities within specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, and evolving pharmaceutical distribution models. Contract Lifecycle ManagementOwn contract execution and implementation handoff.Manage renewals, amendments, and performance opportunities.Coordinate internal review, approval, legal redline, execution, and implementation handoff processes for manufacturer agreements.Establish and maintain contract governance practices to ensure documentation, approvals, obligations, performance expectations, and contract performance reviews are tracked and managed appropriately. Cross -Functional CollaborationPartners with Clinical Strategy leadership on manufacturer opportunities.Partner with Legal, Finance, Analytics, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure commercial agreements support organizational goals, deliver measurable value, and are successfully implemented and executed.Foster strong internal partnerships and communication across departments to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives.Follows company policies and procedures.Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.Maintains confidentiality of information processed. QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Life Science, or related field, and at least ten plus (10+) years of related experience within pharmaceutical manufacturers, market access, trade relations, healthcare services, pharmacy, GPO, or related healthcare sectors.
